Challenge Rider of the Day London and South-East CX League Round 1 (Inc. Sussex CX League Round 1) - 06 Sep 2026

Arthur Crawford from Herne Hill Youth CC is the Challenge Tires Rider of the Day at R1 Stanmer Park in Brighton.

Arthur had a number of nominations as follows

Hello. Id like to nominate Arthur Crawford (U12O & HHYCC) for rider of the day for the for the Stanmer Park Round. Arthur had a nasty fall right at the beginning to the race, possibly caused by a surge of enthusiasm for the new season, but got back up and worked really hard to catch the pack, them crawl back up to 6th place, putting in some of the fastest lap times.

He was gridded front row, got away first then had a very unfortunate (and painful) crash which left him standing by the side of the course while the entire pack passed and left him.

He got back on slowly but then worked his way thru the field and back up to 6th place which was a fantastic effort.

For his fantastic efforts, Arthur was presented at Round 2 at Pippingford Park with a pair of Challenge Pro Flandrein Tires worth over £120rrp at the start of round at Pippingford on Sunday. Thanks to his dad for taking the photo.

Apparently he is very keen to have them fitted for round 3 at Crystal Palace!
