Brixton Cycles Club welcomes you to Crystal Palace for round 4 of the London and South East Cyclo Cross League. An iconic Cyclo Cross venue that once hosted the World Cyclo Cross Champs in 1973.
Starting on the Dolphin Terrace in full view of the iconic Crystal Palace Mast, the start goes straight onto the tarmac towards the bowl. The course then goes right onto the grass, running between trees and into a technical course in honour the park's historic maze which the course then passes in front of the willow trees and hurdles. Heading downs towards the bottom of the park and the infamous Fisherman’s corner, or more commonly known as Deadman’s corners by the crit racers, there is an off camber section before dropping into the oaks trees. As the course works through this section, expect to dismount, before exiting the trees into the skate park. The uneven rolling banks take riders through a double crossing point and up a steep grass bank. The course weaves its way around the memorial bell in front of the National Sports Centre before dropping back to the skate park. The long climb back towards the tarmac section now begins along a single track.
